Another lil’ interview, that brings together so many of my interests
Martyn’s an amazing singer/songwriter, and has been running his own label for over a decade. He’s recently been opening for Ani DiFranco in the States, and has been through so many different parts to his career, from churchy-singer-dude in the 80s, to Sony-signed almost-pop-star, to political, social poetic acoustic troubadour. Here’s a really lovely interview with Martyn about all of those things

Small world. I’ve been a fan of Martyn Joseph for years. I first saw him a 20-odd years ago!
Hi Steve - I first saw Martyn back then too! He’s quite a bit different now
- Are you going to see him on the upcoming tour? he’s out on the road through the autumn, I think - http://www.martynjoseph.com - I’ll hopefully make it to the London gig…
I don’t get out to concerts much these days. Small kids - ’nuff said! The last time I saw Martyn was about 3 years ago here at Warwick Arts Centre when he was opening for Suzanne Vega. I didn’t even realise he was doing it so it was a nice surprise.
