upcoming gigs…

Date Artist City Venue Country
24/11/14 Steve Lawson and Al Swainger Exeter, Devon Hope Hall United Kingdom
Time: 8:00pm. Admission: £10/£8 concs.. Age restrictions: All Ages. Address: Hope Road. Solo and duo gig with wonderful bassist Al Swainger. I’m a big fan of Al’s solo work, and am really looking forward to hearing him, playing with him, and playing solo again in Exeter for the first time in quite a while! Buy Tickets
25/11/14 Steve Lawson and Al Swainger Plymouth, Devon Bread And Roses United Kingdom
Time: 8:30pm. Admission: Free!. Age restrictions: All Ages. Address: 62 Ebrington St. More fun with the wonderful Al Swainger. A nice of bass excesses and no doubt a whole load of beautiful, evocative cinematic solo and duo music!
05/12/14 Steve Lawson Lincoln, Lincolnshire dB Studios at the Showroom United Kingdom
Time: 12:00pm. Admission: PWYW (suggested £30 for the whole day). Age restrictions: All Ages. Address: The Showroom, Tritton Road Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

My first visit to Lincoln in YEARS, and it’s two-events-in-one-day!

From 12-3pm I’m doing a bass/looping/electronica masterclass for all musicians. Using looping in a live setting, for composition and improvisation, and answering questions about using effects and processing to best enhance your music!

7pm – a gig in the studio! The gig will be recorded and you’ll have the choice to be in the live room with me, or in the studio listening on the monitors and watching through the glass! A really unique way to present a gig.

Really looking forward to this… see you then!

      Hi Kevin,

I’m not going to be back there any time all that soon… probably will next time Michael Manring comes over cos it worked great for us there… Wasn’t the right venue for what I had planned for the monthly thing…

  • Nebraskan

Are you coming back to Nebraska any time soon?

    • Steve

nothing planned at the moment, sadly, but I’m sure we’ll be back in Wisner at some point – we have good friends there :)

  • Slummy9

What USA cities will you be making appearances at and when?

    • Steve

Hey, we’re just coming to the end of our tour – it wasn’t widely promoted as it was the first time we’ve done this many shows with our 7 month old son, so didn’t want to have an over-full tour that we needed to cancel if he really hadn’t been into it…

We’re in Cincinnati on July 6th, then have a private concert in Pittsburgh on the 9th, and then we’re back to England.

    Steve … ,

A concert in The Netherlands would be a dream come true. The Bimhuis in Amsterdam would be a great place for you to play … ! I could even help with contacting them or any Dutch language related things.

    Love your music,

    Martin
