Watchmen image, by Dane Rot blackThis morning, Lo and I went to a blogger’s viewing of Watchmen, The new Zach Snyder film, based on Alan Moore’s classic graphic novel. The screening was in the viewing cinema at the Paramount offices out towards Richmond, and a beautiful cinema it was (if all cinema experiences were like that, I’d go 5 times as often as I do!)

Seesmic goes celeb crazy

May 17th, 2008 · Comments Off on Seesmic goes celeb crazy

Things got very exciting this morning on Seesmic, the video conversation site, as a few of the regular posters got to interview some MASSIVE cinema celebs at the Cannes film festival… Something v. interesting occured, but as this is a post about seesmic, I think I’ll use seesmic to comment on it – and you can use seesmic to comment back, whether or not you’re logged in – via the link at the bottom of this post. {seesmic_video:{“url_thumbnail”:{“value”:””}”title”:{“value”:”Seesmic goes celeb crazy “}”videoUri”:{“value”:””}}}

There you go – what fun! Please do add a video or a text comment, especially if you were part of the Seesmic frenzy this morning – what fun that was!

(here’s Jemima Kiss from the Guardian talking about it in their PDA column.)

Christian Payne is a photographer and photo-journalist who went to Jordan, supported by the UNHCR, to tell the stories of the Iraqi refugees there. Powerful stuff.

Free documentaries to watch online…

November 18th, 2007 · Comments Off on Free documentaries to watch online…

Lo. just found this site – – loads of streamable/downloadable docs, including SuperSize Me, Fahrenheit 9/11, Bowling For Columbine and a couple of episodes of Morgan Spurlock’s ’30 days’ series. Plus lots of other great stuff, and a couple of things that look like crack-pot conspiracy movies which should be good for a laugh.

Days and Days of quality brain food!
