Yay! I like it a lot....I agree with Kevin though, go with the * * * * * option rather than the time!

Much awesomeness!

My brother just had a good thought.

Apparently (though I don't know because I don't have an iPod), there is a star-rating feature... he thinks you should use that instead of the time scale thingy. Yes. Thomas' $0.02!

That would be brilliant, though I agree with what has already been said about using just the screen for the design to maximise the size of the font. But, I'd say keep the gimmick stuff like the time, and track number just so those who aren't as sharp can really identify the design :)

Really clever!

I tried the cover-art, but it made everything too small, unless the cards were actually the size of an iPod... :)

But I'd still need to decide what goes on the other side...

I've got an iPod too, I'm not anti-Apple! (much)

Seriously though, if you went with this, couldn't you add some "cover art" of your picture too? That would be cooler if you insist on it...

I like it too -- I like the "Now Playing" heading ... cos you is!

I disagree with @jennybee though, personally, I think it needs the rest of the iPod body to give it context. I suspect that not everyone would recognise immediately that it's an iPod screen without that context.

The balance to be made, however, is with size. With the full iPod body it could render the text too small.

What I would do however is remove any extraneous text that doesn't make sense in the business card context, such as "1 of 14" (one of fourteen what?) and the time in the bottom-right corner. "Chart junk" as Edward Tufte might call it.

I'd also look at reformatting your mobile number into a more standard format (5-6): i.e. 07966 235072 as that's more universally recognised as a mobile telephone, even though the 'with spaces' version is easier to remember.

And if you're planning on taking these abroad consider the format: +44 (0)7966 235072.

My immediate thoughts ...

Jenny - great idea: I'll play around with that. You're rather good at this design business, aren't you? ;)

Mike - buy one what? An iPod? I's got one. A Business card? I'd probably order a few more than 'one' were I to go with the design ;)
