MKS on the forum posted a link to this video of Imogen Heap live on Rehearsals.com – it’s a really really high quality vid, and she starts out with her voice ‘n’ loops version of ‘Just For Now’ which is incredible – definitely one of the most marvellous bits of musical loopage I’ve ever heard. Go and have a listen, and marvel.

Marvellous indeed. So marvellous in fact, that I gathered the whole family round the PC and we all watched it together, jaws on the floor.
It was a kind of ‘Dr Who’ moment – everyone in the family in the same place at the same time with the same reaction. My girls are now going round singing bits of Imogen Heap – makes a change from Green Day or the Pussycat Dolls.
And now I must rummage around ebay looking for Frou Frou…..
…and see if you can find a copy of her first album I Megaphone – it’s brilliant. I got it for 50cents (fiddy cent?) back in about 2000, I think, in a second hand CD shop in LA. Bit of a bargain methinks.
At some point I’ve got to buy the Frou Frou album, cos the version I’ve got is a CDR from a long time before it was released which was given to me by her manager, with tracks on it that didn’t make it onto the album, and unfinished versions of some of the tracks…

Will we ever see Imogen Heap at a Recycle Collective? 😉 THAT would be quite something… You might have to find a bigger venue.
er, yeah, I think if Imogen wanted to come and do the Recycle gig I’d have to not announce it – would be too mad if I did…!
